"Beach Shells" is done in oil paint and cold wax medium on Arches oil paper then mounted onto cradled board. The painting is 6" x 6"  and is framed in a  7"x7" natural maple floater frame. Ready to hang or can free stand on a level surface.

Gamblin cold wax medium is a simple mixture of pure beeswax, Gamsol odorless mineral spirits and a small amount of alkyd resin. The cold wax is a soft paste formulated to knife consistency. I mix the cold wax in with the oil paint and apply it to the surface. When the painting is finished and dried, I apply 1-3 thin coats of straight cold wax medium as a varnish. Once the cold wax has dried, the painting is then gently buffed for a soft luster.

Simple care requires only an occasional dusting with a soft lint free cloth. Do not use soap, solvents, water etc. Think dry.
